If you have been reading my blog you should know by now that I cannot live without my daily dose of caffeine. And please don’t hate me for introducing this to my child at an early age but I do not let her drink caffeinated drinks, well, except for Coke Zero whenever we dine out, that’s it. My kid and I just love and enjoy spending time together in a coffee shop as much as I enjoy it with my college friends and Blogger colleagues/friends.

I remember back in college we will never go in a coffee shop and spend all our remaining cash before heading home but instead, we will go to our favorite bar in Manila, play pool and have milkshake after our class. Coffee back then for me is off limits, I do not like the aroma and much the taste. Not until my high school best friend let me taste this iced coffee in Mini Stop and right then and there I was craving for a frappe coffee in early 2006.

And since then I have been having caffeine for the past 13 years. I started loving SanMig 3in1 coffee for several years, Starbucks Mocha Frappe and their Caramel Frappe was my fave. And then, I bought my own French Press in Starbucks and been buying their coffee beans for close to a year, then opt to Baguio Coffee Beans, and then now I am loving my simple blend of Nescafe Gold Coffee, fresh milk and Stevia for 15 months now.

For the love of coffee

Also, whenever I travel around the Philippines and especially abroad I make sure I will have a taste of their local coffee. I remember my weirdest coffee was in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It was a mixture of black coffee, condensed milk and on top is hot and burning charcoal. Yes, you read it right, CHARCOAL.

If you really love coffee you also have this passion and eagerness like I do to find the best go-to coffee shop in your neighborhood. Here in Las Pinas, we happen to have the first branch of Coffee Project owned by the Villar’s. If you want a quiet cafe with good ambiance and fast WIFI then I highly recommend Coffee Project. They have branches all over the metro and few in Cavite provinces but slowly the company is expanding more in other parts of Manila and provinces.
